Mini Golf
I was playing mini golf with my mom and dad at Adventure Landing in Winston-Salem! I have not improved much since this picture was taken when I was 6 or 7 but I still love to play mini golf when I'm at the beach :) -
Freedom Tower
Three years after the World Trade Center was destroyed during the September 11, 2001 attacks, there is a groundbreaking ceremony for the Freedom Tower at Ground Zero. This emotional ceremony promises to reclaim the cities skylines to help remember those who were lost.

NC Governor Election

Dance Recital
I had been dancing since I was three so this probably would have been my 7th dance recital! It was always my favorite time of the year because I loved dressing up in fancy costumes and putting on makeup. -
Wachovia
Wachovia, the fourth largest US bank, based in North Carolina, lost $8.86 billion in the 2nd quarter and announced they were going to cut 6,350 jobs. My dad worked for this company and had to take a job at BB&T which moved my family back to Winston-Salem, NC.

Presidential Election
The 2008 election had the highest voter turnout in over four decades. Barrack Obama (D) defeated John McCain (R) and became first African American president of the United States.

Superbowl
North Carolina and South Carolina's NFL team, the Carolina Panthers, made it to the Super Bowl. Unfortunately, the Denver Broncos defeated the Carolina Panthers 24-10 :( -
Michelle Obama
I got THIS CLOSE TO MICHELLE OBAMA!! This picture was taken at the Hillary Clinton rally on campus. After this picture was taken the body guard (whose hand is pictured on the left) made me put my phone away. -
