    A set of rules was established by Eton college of England this was an important year because rules were finally made for football so the game would make more sense and there was aim for the game.

    The first railway was the Stockton and Darlington Railway. Which could help football fans and players get to different cities to play football. throughout that time there was more people managing to get hold of a car and more cars where produced which again helped players get from one city to another and play or watch football.

    New rules were developed for the game of football also known as the Cambridge rules and it was adapted by schools, colleges and universities that was a big improvement because of the publicity the sport started to get from schools, colleges and universities.

The first ever winners of the world cup were Uruguay, runners up were Argentina, third place was United States and forth place came Yugoslavia. This was a great improvement in the Football industry as that development led to be one of the biggest events in the world.

    (FIFA) is a short cut for The Federation Internationale de Football Association made footballs first World Cup tournament in Montevideo, Uruguay and 13 teams played in it this was a great step for football as people pay a lot of money to see the world cup and world cup is one of the most popular events up to date.

    Goalkeeper back passes were banned this was good because the team which is winning could constantly pass back to the goalkeeper and by goalkeeper catching it no other player could touch the ball which would be considered (time wasting) and its unfair on the chances on the other team.

    Outstanding stadiums were built this was also a big improvement because of the fans they were more attracted to watch the match as it looked nicer, also it is a good tourist attraction and because of the disaster that happened in Heysel stadium in 1985 and by developing the stadiums players and fans can be safer, they can play in the rain as there is protection and a lot more people can now go and watch the match

    The offside law was changed so that the attacker can be in line with the defender that makes it easier for any team to strategize and more opportunities can be made.

    The goal line technology was developed because of the officials could not decide of the goal and a lot of controversy started that was good because of the fact that fans could get upset about they’re team loosing as it was unclear was it over the line or not.
