Biography
David Bisbal is the son of José Bisbal and María Ferre Montoya. He was born on June 5, 1979 in Almería and has two brothers: José María and María del Mar, born. His father was a boxer and he retired in 1976, having held the title of champion of Spain in lightweight. Once he retired from boxing, he worked as a carpentry officer in the Almería City Council, and his mother was a seamstress. -
Studies
He was educated at the Goya school in Almería, but he abandoned his studies in 2nd year of BUP because he did not like to study. His parents enrolled him in a forestry course-workshop and he began to work in the municipal nursery of Almería under the influence of his father. -

Bulería
The first single from Bisbal's second album, "Bulería", premiered on 15 December 2003. It reached number 1 on the charts and radio stations of both Spain and Latin America. On 11 February, the eponymous album was released. The album debuted on the charts in Spain where more than 300,000 copies were sold in a week. It also reached gold certification in Colombia and Venezuela in two weeks. -
Premonition
The first single of his third studio album Premonición, " was released in August 2006. The album was released on 3 October 2006. It sold more than 900,000 copies.
On 24 October he performed at the seat of European Parliament in Strasbourg where he gave an exclusive concert, in which he performed the songs from his album, to representatives of 25 member countries. The album stayed for a month at number one on the Spanish chart. The singer won an Ondas Award and a Micrófono de Oro award. -
Without looking back
His fourth studio album Sin Mirar Atrás was released on October 20, 2009 in Spain, Latin America and the United States. The first single from the album was "Slave of your Kisses, a song that gives the album its title. Bisbal also won his first Latin Grammy in 2009.
