Austin to deliver their petitions to the leaders of the mexican government. Austin hoped Santa Anna would work peacefully with the settlers.

Texas didnt want to surrender their cannon to mexican forces so they decided to start fighting anyways and ended up with texas winning;it started the war;and texas rebels condidence got boosted.
