The first race Earnhardt ever participated in was the Winston Cup in 1975 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. In this race, he drove a Dodge Charger (#8) and he finished in 22nd place.

Dale one day I did not find the exact day but once jumped out of an ambulance and finished the race. Later at an interview he said " hey that car still had tires on it so i finished the race". - Dale Earnhardt.

It was coming down to the wire with dale in third on the final turn on the final lap of the Daytona 500. He caught "dirty air" swerved lost control hit the wall taking kyle busch with him and later that night Dale was pronounced dead at the Daytona hospital with many skull fractures to the head. Some say he just had to hit the breaks but i say that if he would have he would have just crashed harder.
