Corey Todd Taylor was born in Des Moines, Iowa. He lived with his mother and his sister and his grandmother was one of the first person of tought him the rock and that kind of music.

At this age, Corey had a dangerous relation with the drugs, and he get out of his house to went with grandmother. Corey began to feel passion for the music, like the rock and the bands of that years. HIs grandmother tried to helped him with his adiction with the music.

Corey Taylor founded the band Stone Sour in 1992, and in that same year they recorded an album, as in 1994

In 1997, Corey was invited to form part of the Slipknot band while he was working in a Sex Shop.
In this same year, Corey had his first concert with Slipknot. -
In 1999, Corey with Slipknot made their first album with debut on the world of music, the album is call Slipknot.

Corey met his father for the first time en 2005, now they have an strong relation.

In 2008, Slipknot made the album "All hope is gone", that was the album that made them more popular after made two albums before, Iowa (2001) and The subliminal verses (2004).
