    Steve Russell invented SpaceWar!. Spacewar! was the first game intended for computer use. Russell used a MIT PDP-1 mainframe computer to design his game. This is the way that gaming really got started. the way my childhood games came around and even games on the wii found today.

    the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center designed the Alto — the first work station with a built-in mouse for input.
  • Osborne I

    Adam Osborne completed the first portable computer, the Osborne I, which weighed 24 pounds and cost $1,795. This will later lead to laptops and other computers. This is why this is segnificant to me.

    This is the begining of an amazing new age!!! The computer is now availiable to the public. The IBM PC - Home Computer was the first computer that was let out to the public. This invention had been built off of many different ideas.

    There was many qualities about microsoft that was just blowing the minds of millions of people. There are drop-down menus, scroll bars, icons, and dialog boxes that make programs easier to learn and use. You're able to switch among several programs without having to quit and restart each one. Both Paul Allen and Bill Gates were big helpers in creating and getting Woindows out to the public.

    Since Google was founded in 1998, they have grown to serve hundreds of thousands of users around the world. It is a great way to surf the internet and an easy way to find and sort out all the things on the internet. Founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin met at Stanford University in 1995. By 1996, they had built a search engine (initially called BackRub) that used links to determine the importance of individual webpages. This was later known as google.

    I love the iPod and dont know where I would be without it. I love music and now it is portable!!! You can load hundreds of songs on a divice smaller than a laptop!! The iPod classic is by far the most capacious iPod, with 160 GB of storage.

    I love Facebook (just like any other teen). It is a great way to stay connected with the world and with the people in it. Mark Zuckerberg with his college roommates and fellow Harvard University students Eduardo Saverin, Andrew McCollum, Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes are the ones who invented this. They invented it with the intentions of helping others stay connected

    Kindle
    The Kindle is an amazing invention in my opinion because it is really easy to get books and read them without the bulk. You could have millions of books at your fingertips in just on little tablet.
