Paul Allen and Bill Gates write the first computer language program for personal computers, which is a form of BASIC designed for the Altair. Gates later drops out of Harvard and founds Microsoft with Allen. I chose this because my Dad is a computer programmer and he uses the language that Bill Gates has invented.

Disney releases the movie Tron on July 9, 1982, the first movie to use computer generated special effects. I chose this milestone because the TRON movie was the first movie to use computer effects and I like movies that are animated. TRON led to many more animated movies.
