The Charter of 1732 Establishes the Trustee Period of Georgia
James Oglethorpe asked King George II for a charter to start the colony of Georgia. The king accepted and decided that Georgia be governed by 21 trustees. The trustees were not payed, they were just there to make sure that Georgia was in order.
