The Erie Canal is a very good song and story. It was published in 1825. And they thought of the song in 1808. And some people called the Erie Canal the Wonder of the World. -
Santa Fe trail
In 1821 trough 1880 santa fe trail was a highway from St. Louis trough santa fe, and New Mexico. In 1821 trough 1846 the highway was used by Mexican and American traders. And when the Mexican and American traders were on the highway the president had the Mexican-American war. -
trail of tears
the trail of tears started in 1838 and it ended in 1839. During the trail of tears the Cherokee nation had to give up it's land. John Ross was the leader of the Cherokee nation leading up to the years of the trail of tears. -
Gold Rush
The Gold Rush was going from 1848-1855. In 1849 a man named James W Marshall found lakes on the base of Nevada. Just after days of James W Marshall's discovery the Mexican-American war ended.
