Me

  • Easter Morning

    Easter Morning
I had a lot of trouble sleeping the night before because of the excitement I felt. I dreamed of the peeps that I would find in my easter basket only when morning came they weren't the marshmallow kind. I was in awe that baby chicks were in my basket, I didn't quite know what to do at the time. I soon learned that having pets requires a lot of responsibility. I had a duty to refill their food and water daily while keeping their heat lamp at the proper temperature. Their health became my priority.
  • Letter from Barack Obama

    Letter from Barack Obama
I wasn't sure if Obama would receive my letter personally but I knew it was worth a try. Rather than asking for something I just wanted to thank him. I expressed my admiration for everything he does and how I would never forget his presidency. When he wrote back, I learned that even someone of his importance can make time for anyone. That letter I received in my name will be something I cherish for the rest of my life and to look to for hope. His words changed my life and mine changed his.
  • Golf

    Golf
Mini golf was usually my strong suit and the occasional hitting balls at the driving range. Never did I see myself going to an actual golf course. One day I decided I would tag along with my Dad and brothers. I debated whether to play or stand on the sidelines because I was inexperienced. Golf being the serious sport it is requiring a lot of concentration, I didn't want to disturb any ones game. On a par 4 I hit a hole in one, I learned that anything is possible no matter what level you're at.
  • Tennis

    Tennis
Tennis was a hobby of mine which I would play on the weekends every once in while. I was already a junior and I hadn't played for the high school team which discouraged me at first. I told myself that I have to start somewhere and I made the team. I learned that when you put your mind to something anything is possible. The more I practiced the faster I was able to pick up the game. Having a commitment to my team showed me what it's like to be a part of something and I will never forget the rush.
  • California

    California
I could have spent my vacation relaxing on the beach but I'm into exploring new places. Going to the Red Wood National Forest away from LA was a breathtaking experience. Being away from the city and just enjoying the simple things in life is what I live for. Nature is incredible and I am excited to see more eye opening places. The moment when I saw the biggest tree I've ever seen was when I realized I want to explore other countries. I have an infinite amount of experiences waiting for me.
