Attack on Fort Sumter
This was the 1st battle of the Civil war. Confederates started to seize forts. Robert Anderson surrendered the fort to the confederates and lost this battle. (the union lost) -

This battle was a turning point in the civil war because the Union started pushing back against the confederates. This is the last time that the south will try to invade the north because the battles will now be only fought in the south -

The Gettysburg Address was a speech that Lincoln gave stressing unity for all and explained that he wanted to get everyone to become one again -
