Emmett Till Murder showed people aroung the world on what was happing to the people around those areas. They were making his death stand out to show the people that there has to be a change for the better. -

Rosa Parks, an African American women that didn't give up her seat for a white person. This shows that everybody no matter what race you are. Have the right as others. -
Little Rock School desegregation
9 student went to school in an all white school. Whites were against it but it didn't stop them because they wanted to learn. -
Sit-ins in Greensboro/Nashville
It made others see that these people were not doing anything but sitting. -
March on Birmingham
A group of young kids marched. Not the adults. They did this to show that they were strong. They wanted to be equal as the white people. To show that they’ll stand strong and deal with what goes on. -
March on Washington
A group of Democrats that waned the same equal rights and opportunities as everyone else. The largest group of African American to show that they deserve equal opportunities as for work. -
Civil Rights Act of 1964
It outlawed discrimination against race and women. To give people all equal rights. -
Voting Rights Act of 1965
Let anybody vote. Not based of race or the color of your skin. Anybody could vote as long as you qualified for voting. -
Martin Luther King Assassinated
The leader of the movement was killed. This was important because a lot of African American looked up to him as a person.
