    Rosa Parks Bus Boycott
    On a bus at Montgomery, Alabama Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat to a white man. This sparked a light in the Civil Rights Movement. She became known as the mother of the Civil Rights movement.
  • Brown vs. Board Education Law

    Brown vs. Board Education Law
    This Law was an act of segregation. It was a landmark to the United States Supreme Court that declared the law. The law basically was that black and whites were seperated to to different schools. So, whites went to a white school and blacks went to a black school.
  • Little Rock Nine Group Incident

    The group known as the Little Rock Nine were a group of black students that were enrolled in Little Rock Central Highschool. This was significant because no blacks were allowed in this highschool. This was a very important event in the Civil Rights Movement.

    At Washington D.C. 250,000 people gathered to listen to one of the greatest speechs in American history. Martin Luther King Junior made a speech called I have a dream. This was one of the greatest Civil Rights demonstration during the Civil Rights Era.

    Malcolm X was a black nationalist who founded Afro American Unity. He was shot. The assailants were believed to black muslim faith.

    At Memphis, Tennessee 6:01 PM Martin Luther King Junior was assassinated. He was standing on the balcony of Lorraine Motel when a bullet struck him in the face. He was shot by James Earl Ray who used a 30-06 rifle. This was a very gloomy day for Civil Rights activists.
