    its important because during the civil rights movment they had to enforce that and most of the south were still agianst it.

    In Montgomery, Alabama, Rosa Parks was put in jail for refusing to give up her seat on a public bus to a white man, which was a violation of the city's racial segregation laws. its important because this is the event that all kind of started the civil rights movment and kind of pushed the african americans over the edge.

    It was imprtant because it was were he gave his "i have a dream.." speech.

The bill made it illegal to impose restrictions on federal, state and local elections that were designed to deny the vote to blacks. its important because it was one of the goals that was reached by the civi rights movements.
