    • The Silk Road was a large trade route that connected Europe and most of Asia.
    • Along with trade came robbers and bandits. Many crimes were commited and there were many murders.
    • Some goods traded were perfumes, Jewelry, metal work, foods, and cloth (especially silk).

    • The name came from a purple star (zi), and the thought that no one can leave the palace without the emperor's permission (jin). Translated it means purple forbidden city.
