    Declared the rights of men and included the right to abolish and reform different rules which greatly influenced the writing of many important documents. The main author was George Mason.

    This election included John Adams and Thomas Jefferson both running for president with John Adams being the chosen candidate.
  • bill for establishing religious freedom

    The committee of the Virginia Assembly were the authors of this 82nd bill written about religious freedom.     It was the treaty between Great Britain and the United States where Great Britain acknowledged the United States as independent and established the boundaries. George Washington and King George III met and this was significant because the United States officially became an individual country.

    This ordinance created the first northern territory that reached from the Appalachian mountains to the Ohio river with the Mississippi river as the west boundary. Thomas Jefferson suggested this idea and it was significant, because not only did it give more territory for the Americans to expand to, it also was one of the first decisions made by the Confederation Congress.

    9 of the 13 states were required to agree to officially change the Constitution. It was the Federalists versus the anti-Federalist but the added Bill of Rights contributed to getting the votes needed. This involved all colonies and contributed to the foundation of this country.

    George Washington's policy was that the USA stay neutral during the French Revolution, because they were a very new country that didn't need another idea to divide the people. Jefferson resigned from his position so the factions split between supporting French and British. In the end, it was significant because the USA was able to stay neutral and not be divided.

    It was the first rebellion during the first presidency, because of a tax placed by the federal government on domestic products.     The treaty was designed by Alexander Hamilton and was used to fully resolve any conflicts left off by the treaty of paris. It allowed 10 years of peaceful trade and was significant because it further bettered the relationship between the USA and Great Britian.

    This treaty established friendship between Spain and America. It also discussed the boundaries between the Spanish and American colonies and the control over the Mississippi river. It was significant because Spain and America developed a strong relationship.

    These acts were signed by John Adams and they made it: harder for an immigrant to become a citizen, allowed president to imprison/deport non-citizens who appeared to be a threat. These acts are still in act today and are important because they help prevent the United States from danger and overpopulation.

    These two states believed the alien and sedition acts were unconstitutional and spoke out against them. They were written by Thomas Jefferson and James Madison. They argued that each state got a huge say in what they thought was constitutional.
