    Scout and the cakes.
    When Jem and Dill were spending days at a time in the tree house plotting and planning, Scout spent most of her remaining twilights that summer with Ms.Maudie on her front porch. Whenever the three kids would stop playing Ms.Maudie would bake a cake and three cupcakes for Jem, Scout and Dill.
  • Scout learns Boo Radleys real name.

    Scout learns Boo Radleys real name.
    Scout was talking with Ms.Maudie about Boo Radley and learns from her that his real name is Arthur. Scout tells Ms.Maudie all the things Jem told her about Arthur and she said that all of it is just rumors from colored folk and Stephanie Crawford. Scout also learns that Arthur was a really nice boy when he was younger.

    After Scout learns of Radley's real name, Ms.Maudie says that Arthur is a foot-washing Baptist, they take the bible literally and believe that anything that pleasures you, is a sin. Ms.Maudie says that one Saturday they came from the woods and told Ms.Maudie that she and her garden of flowers are going to hell.

    The next morning, Jem and Dill had an idea to give Arthur a note by putting a piece of paper that says "Come out sometimes, and tell us what you do in there" on a fishing pole and sticking it into one of his windows that are open.
  • Atticus foils their plan.

    Atticus foils their plan.
    Jem try's his best to put the note into the shutter, it fell to the ground multiple times and every time Jem got it back onto the pole each time. Dill then starts to ring a bell right in front of Atticus's face. Atticus then starts to tell the three of them their wrongdoing.
