    Americans would not really like this constitution because it say that you have to be catholic. It also isn't vary exact about the rights of the states.
  • Fredonian Rebellion

    the rebellion started because of high tax. In the end the rebellion failed.
  • Mier Y Teran Report

    Mier went to texas to find out the population and the attitude towards mexico.
  • Guerrero Decree

    This was mad in hope to put a check on immigration. It would ban slavery but it never really affected texas.
  • Turtle Bayou Resolutions

    Anglo settlers wrote the turtle bay resolution to explain to Mexico that the conflict at anahuac was not a rebellion against them but federalist sympathizers in a government as part the civil war. The government urged all Texans to help and support patriots because they were fighting for what is right. They were forced not to punish the settlers.
  • Battle at Velasco

    Battle at Velasco
    It was the first case of war in the relations between Texas and Mexico. While the settlers were fighting the Mexicans at fort Velasco some Texans were going to retrieve a cannon. Mexicans had no choice but to surrender when they ran out of bullets,shells, and cannon balls. All the settlers that were in prison were finally released.

    This convention was held at San Felipe to request tariff exemptions, modification of the Law of April 6, 1830, to permit more general immigration from the United States, donation of government lands for the maintenance of primary schools. They also wanted a militia in case of an emergency so they can go somewhere safe. For some reason this was never showed to the Mexican government. This convention was held by the elected Stephen F. Austin and the president.

    It was held at San Felipe the day that Santa Anna finally took control of Mexico.William H. Wharton was head of the convention who wanted to get rid of anti-immigration section of the Law of April 6,1830,Wanted better Indian defense judicial reform, and improvement in mail service. The people that were selected to present to the government didn't go so Austin had to go alone to Mexico so he can present the petition to the government.

    Stephen F Austin goes to Mexico
    Austin went to Mexico to argue the approval of the Mexican government for there petition. There were unavoidable delays he persuaded the government to stop the law of April 6,1830. On his way home he got arrested and brought back to Mexico cit just moving fro prison to prison until they finally released him. After he was forced to stay in Mexico city and wasn't allowed to leave at all.

    The Consultation was held in San Felipe in late October into early November. This was a debate on the opposing factions that wanted to continue a diplomatic relations with Mexico. Many people weren't there because they were still fighting wit Mexico in San Antonio. The consolation was over war, power of government, and the different leaders among them.
