The Cambodian genocide happened between the years 1967-1975 when the mass extermination happened of many Cambodians by the Khmer Rouge and their leader Pol Pot. Many young kids and adults were forced into cheap labour and had no education. The elderly and women who gave birth were also dragged into the mess and unfortunately died along the way and were left behind. The Cham Muslim community was affected the most by mass genocide and about 1.5 million to 3 million people were exterminated.
