Some children/adults with Fragile X Syndrome may develop curvature of the spine, flat feet & a heart condition known as mitral valve prolapse. Mitral Valve Prolapse means that one of the valves of the heart become floppy and may be detected as a heart murmur. -

Absolutely fell in love with the transition students that I worked with and thoroughly enjoyed the programs we did. -

Got my first student!
Had my first student from a different placement come in to my classroom. Started to learn how to assess new students and create a repoire with them and how to build that relationship versus with my other students that I had known for a while. -
Had my first IEP as an Intern Teacher
Presented my very first IEP as an intern teacher, got to meet parents and hear their concerns versus just talking to them over the phone. Very surreal experience, helped me to really put their struggles in perspective and understand more where they were coming from. -
