    Sonja Henie was a Norwegian figure skater and film star. She was a three-time Olympic Champion. She won more Olympic and World titles then any other ladies figure skater. She also won the 3rd consecutive Olympic figure skating cold.

    On February 21st, 1936 Waldo Waterman initiated the flight of the first successful flying car, Waldo Waterman was a inventor and aviation pioneer from San Diego, California. The Waterman Arrowbile was based on the arrowplane. It was a high-wing monoplane, with detachable wings and was powered by a studebaker engine. Five arrowbiles were built. Three arrowniles attempted a flight from Santa Monica to Cleveland but one had to turn back after only reaching Arizona.

    Franklin D. Roosevelt died because of months of declining health. He suffered four months of widespread cancer. His cancer would have prevented him frim running in 1944 and thus altered the shaping of postwar Europe.

    Harry S. Truman became president on April 12th, 1945. He was immediately faced with the problems of winding down the war against the axis and preparing the nation for postwar adjustment.

    On this day in 1945, holed up in a bunker under his headquarters in Berlin, Adolf Hitler commits suicide by swallowing a cyanide capsule and shooting himself in the head. Hitler’s death was publicly announced on May 1, 1945. Hitler and Braun’s charred remains were found a couple of days later.
  • Grandpa Graduates Highschool.

    My grandpa graduated highschool on Janurary 20th, 1956. My grandma graduated one year after my grandpa did.
  • Bought First Car.

    My grandpa got his first car on March 5th. His first car was Chevy Bellair.
  • Grandpa & Grandma Get Married.

    October 25th, is when my grandparents got married. They had gotten married in a church, many people came, including her side of the family and my grandpas side of the family.
  • First Child.

    On December 29th, 1959 my grandpa and my grandpa had there first child. They named her Debra Wagner.
  • Started Work at Kearney & Trecker.

    My grandpa started working at Kearney and Trecker on April 15th, 1966. He worked there for 27 years until he found a better paying job,
  • Grandpa & Grandma Build First House

    On October, 1970 my grandpa and my grandma built there first house. This house was only big enough for 2 people, a few years later they moved out to start a family.
  • First Plane Ride.

    During this time period my Grandpa went on his first plane ride ever with his father. This event was in Germany.
  • 5 Week Vaction With Family.

    On June 13th, 2003 my grandpa took a 5 week vaction with his 3 sisters and my grandma. They traveled all around the world in a RV.
  • Grandpas Wife Dies.

    On April 23rd, 2010 my grandpas wife had passed away. It was very hard for the whole family. The funeral was held at the church they attened every weekend.
  • Diagnosed With Cancer.

    On August 13th, 2013, one year ago my grandpa was diagnosed with prostate cancer. It was a very devistating time for everyone.
