    The Buckeye Wheelers were started in 1970 in conjunction with The Ohio State University Dodd Hall physical rehabilitation department.
  • First League Championship

    Mid-America Conference Champions, National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) Regionalists, Lost to Toledo Silver Streaks
  • NWBA Sectionalist

    NWBA Sectionalist
    Finished third in the NWBA Sectionals, defeated Twin Cities in consolation game. Detroit Sparks won the NWBA Sectionals.
  • NWBA Regionalist

    Defeated St. Louis Rolling Rams 59-40 to advance to the NWBA Regionals. Lost to Chicago Sidewinders 86-54.
  • NWBA Regionalist

    Third place finish in Mid-America Conference. Lost NWBA Regional to St. Louis Rolling Rams.
  • NWBA Regionalist

    Second place finsh in Mid-America Conference. Lost to Springfield Spoke Jockeys in NWBA Regionals.
  • Undefeated in Conference Play

    Finished season 16-0 in Mid-America Conference, 27-15 overal. Lost first game in NWBA Tournament.
  • Finish season ranked 20th

    Finished the season 21-6 (15-2 in conference). Lost first game in NWBA Tournament, but finish season ranked 20th nationally.
  • Third Conference Championship

    Buckeye Wheelers win their third Mid-America Conference Championship ('77, '85).
  • Second in PVA Cup

    Buckeye Wheelers finish second in the Inaugural Paralyzed Veterans of America Cup.
  • Host NWBA Regionals

    The Buckeye Wheelers host the National Wheelchair Basketball Association Regional Tournament. Lost in first round to Chicago.
    Finished the season with an 8-18 record and third-place in the PVA Cup.
  • Another early exit in NWBA Tournament

    After a fourth-place conference finish the Buckeye Wheelers lost in the first round of the NWBA Tournament to eventual championsh Ann Arbor.
  • Host Regionals for second time

    Finished year with a 6-10 record and lost in the first round of the NWBA Regionals, played in Columbus, to Grand Rapids.

    James Gouch lead the Buckeye Wheelers in scoring with 20 points per game. Team finished with a 12-8 record, 6-3 in conference. The team won its first NWBA Regional game before losing to eventual National Champions University Wisconsin White Water.
  • BPVA Cup Champions

    BPVA Cup Champions
    Team finished season 21-10, 8-1 in conference and won the Inaugural Buckeye Paralyzed Veterans of America Cup. Gouch led team in scoring again, averaging 20 points per game and the team lost its first game in the NWBA Regionals.

    The Buckeye Wheelers finshed second in the 2004-2005 BPVA Cup.
  • Finish in top-5 at NWBA Nationals

    The team won the BPVA Cup and advanced to the NWBA Nationals in Peoria, IL. The team placed in the top-5.
  • Major rebuilding year

    Team finished season winless, 0-17, and last place in conference. Team had six rookies including two juniors.
  • Team folds because of financial issues

    The Buckeye Wheelers sit a year out because of a lack of funding. Upon re-entry to the NWBA, the team will be considered a new team and placed on probation.
  • Return to NWBA

    Return to NWBA
    After sitting out a year, the Buckeye Wheelers return to the NWBA. Team won the BPVA cup and finished third in their conference. Unable to compete at NWBA Nationals because of probationary status slapped on a new team.
  • Probation again???

    Probation again???
    After being placed on proabtion the previous season because of "new team" status, the Buckeye Wheelers were placed on probation again because of adding a player (Larry Callahan) to their team. The team appealed the ruling all year, but to no avail. The team placed second in the BPVA Cup and third in their conference tournament going 2-2 in the round-robin format. No NWBA Nationals because of the probationary status.
