It was publishished in 1951 and was hugely commemerated. It was a top source of knowledge and still is but internet is more renound now

    AUSTRALIA DISCOVERED
    Navigator and astronomer Captain James Cook claimed the whole of the east coast of Australia for Great Britain on 22 August 1770, naming eastern Australia 'New South Wales'. He first journeyed to find Australia but accidently found New Zealand first.

    This is the date of the wars starting, the idea came on the 5th of april 1775.Much more than a revolt against British taxes and trade regulations, the American Revolution was the first modern revolution. It marked the first time in history that a people fought for their independence in the name of certain universal principles such as rule of law, constitutional rights, and popular sovereignty(supreme power or authority).

    Construction began on the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad. This is the first public railroad in the U.S. It was a key factor in America's westward expansion and it made trade much easier and less expensive. This threw America into the Industrial Revolution as well as changed the face of this once primitive land.

    After Edward Hargraves found gold in Bathurst, New South Wales a gold frenzy started. This helped bring foreigners to Australia building up it population. This also led to th Eureka Stockade which was a big Australian revolution.

    LINCOLN ASSASINATED-13th AMENDMENT PASSED
    Licoln returned the republican party back into a strong orginization, and on the 1st of January, 1863, he issued a proclamation that freed slaves within the confederacy. On Good Friday, April 14, 1865, Lincoln was assassinated at Ford's Theatre in Washington by John Wilkes Booth, an actor, who somehow thought he was helping the South. The opposite was the result, for with Lincoln's death, the possibility of peace died.

    Ned Kelly Hanged
    Ned Kelly was a famous Australian bushranger of Irish descent, he was born into a thieving family and were regularly persicuted by the police. Ned after a long series of events fled into a hotel that was surrounded by police. After a long battle, the police finnaly captured him. Kelly was hanged at the Melbourne gaol on 11 November. He met his end without fear. His last words were 'Ah well, I suppose it has come to this', and by another version, 'Such is life'.

    On the 1st of January 1901 the British parliament passed legislation allowing the six Australian states to govern in their own right as part of the Commonwealth of Australia; Making Australia an independent country.The Australian Constitution is the most important document in Australian government history. It created the Commonwealth Government (now known as the Australian Government), established its structure, powers and procedures, and defined the rights and obligations of the states.

    The model T was the first car released to public, he made his first car in 1897 (called tin lizzie). The ford model t in 1909 made over a million dollars which is a lot of money especially in those days. He also made alot of racing cars some going up to 145km/ph.
