    Sometime during 1927, Melbourne officially wasn't the capital. The capital of Australia officially became Canberra.

    Similar to the Black Saturday, Black Friday was one of the worst natural bushfires in the world. It also took place in Victoria and about 71 people died, 1,300 homes and 3,700 buildings were burnt down.
  • Rights for Aboriginals

    Sometime during 1962, Aborigines were allowed to vote during elections and anything to do with voting. 5 years later (1967), they were classified as citizens. Even though it was thier land in the first place :-)

    Even though the 9/11 attack happened half way across the owrld (in the U.S.A), it still affected Australia. Ever since 2001, Australia's defence force went up by 59%.

    The Black Saturday bushfires took place in Victoria, it was a bunch of fires that were ignited or spreading across the state. Up to 400 seperate fires were declared.
