I believe that this is a prime event because it explains the process that went through to get their independence from Mexico. This event is very important because it was around the first battle of the Alamo that lasted 41 days. Texas fought hard to be away from Mexico, it began to get super tough which is why Mexico later on surrendered from Texas. -
The Bear Flag Revolt was a big thing in the Mexican American war because it was American settlers going against Mexicans. This was for California to be an Independent Republic. -
What was the Mexican American war ? The Mexican American War which some people know as the (Spanish War) was against Mexico and the United States. The purpose of this war was for Mexico to gain back Texas. The United States soon found out about Texas and wanted to steal the land that did not belong to them. There was much fear going on and that consisted of the U.S wanting to annex Texas which the later on did. This stirred up a lot of conflict. -
The treaty was important because it ended the open war between the United States and Mexico. But this also helped the United States gain more of Mexico´s land. Because of that many Mexicans stayed in the U.S and faced many problems. -
The end of the war was important because it led to new beginnings for Mexico and also Texas. This resulted in hand and hand combat but this did not stop them from mistreating Mexicans.
