Barbara's Education Timeline

  • First day of first grade!

    I was mortified to start first grade. I wanted to stay in Kindergarten for forever. I was crying all morning and did not want my mom to leave when she dropped me off.

  • Won an art award!

    In third grade I won an art award. I created a pastel drawing of a seal, and it is hanging in the School District Office to this day.

  • Student of the month!

    I was the only student in the class who had their behavior card on green for the entire month. Green meant outstanding behavior.

  • Failed my First Test

    I started to become very lazy in my American Government class during my freshman year of high school. I dreaded this class. After I failed the first test, I stepped up my game and got an A on the second one.

  • Got accepted to UW-Oshkosh

    This was good news because UWO was my first and only choice. It was the only school I applied to.

  • Graduated High School!

    My high school graduation was held at Miller Park Stadium. It was a graduation to remember.

  • Started College at UW-Oshkosh

    This was the first time I have ever been away from home for a long period of time.

  • Completed the Initial Practicum Semester

    This has been one of the best experiences of mine at UWO so far.

  • Earned my Assistant Child Care Teacher Certificate

    I worked on an extensive packet in order to earn this certificate.

  • Was Recognized for Creating the Best Final Project for my ninth grade English class.

    The project was on To Kill A Mockingbird. My teacher said it was one of the most exceptional projects she has ever seen.
