The first world war was against Britain and Germany, it started in August 1914. Australia joined in this fight with Britain because they where one of Britains colonies. Over 60,000 people where killed in that fight that went for four years. This was known as WW1. -

British Commonwealth Occupation Force was known as BCOF. There where about 16,000 Australians that served in the BCOF. The BCOF was to take care of the miltary control and to watch and disposal of the remnants of Japan's war-making capacity. -
