    In 1770 James cook found Australia on the HM bark endeavour. The aboriginals did not welcome him and his crew the point of James cook looking for new land was because the British wanted new land for them to use.
  • The First Fleet

    1787 the first fleet of 11 ships and about 1530 people many were convicted who were forced to and also thought they could start a new life
  • Second Fleet

    Second Fleet
    A vessel arrived in Port Jackson in 1790, but it was not the Supply, but the first of a Second Fleet of five ships carrying over 730 people. The Second Fleet was contracted to private businesses that kept the convicts in shocking conditions. The rich were welcomed but the convicts were not welcomed but were put straight to work.

All the men were welcome as long as they had white skin. All of the familes thats farthers had gone to mine had been abandened with very little food to survive. Everyone was seeking a better life and the gold was their only hope.
