    Melbourne's China Town was established in 1851 during the Victoria Gold Rush. It extends between the corners of Swanston and Spring Streets withini the Melbourne Central Business District. Chinese New Year and Moon Festival are important festicals that were celebrated in China Town. This helped develop multiculturalism.
