    The vietnamese war occured after the korean war. This was when the Americans submarines were bombed and so accused on vietname, this then declared a full out war between America and Vietnam. Due to the ANZUS Australia and New-Zealand were forced to join in the war with America.

    This was the longest war Australia has been in, lasting 10 years, with around 60,000 troops being sent to assist and advise in the war. Australia's early involvement was unopposed but as the conscripts grew Australia become a much larger threat. 500 people had died where as around 3,000 were wounded.
