    Early Life
    Drake was born on the 4th of october in Toronto. Although Drake is one of the most recognised and successful rappers, he didn't actually start off in the music industry. He was an actor and actually learnt how to act in his school. He was an actor on the show 'Degrassi' however he decided to move away from acting into something else as he feltthe wage wasn't good enough.
  • First Mixtape

    First Mixtape
    In 2006, Drake released his first mixtape which was called 'Room For Improvement'. This was a successful first mixtape selling over 6,000 copies in 2006.This mixtape was a platform for Drake and this mixtape introduced Drake nicely onto the rapping scene.
  • Second Mixtape

    Drake released a second mixtape which was called 'Comeback Season'.This mixtape was very important as this where he would start to become a very big artist.
  • First Music Video

    It was the song featuring Trey Songz - 'Replacement Girl' from his second mixtape 'Comeback Season' which led to his first music video. This videoled to Drake becoming the first independent rapper to have a music video on 'BET' (Black Entertainment Television).
  • Drake and Lil Wayne

    Drake and Lil Wayne
    Due to the success of Drake's first two mixtapes and his first music video, he was creating a name for himself and as he was an unsigned artist, he was attracting a lot of attention. Eventually, Lil Wayne (1 of the best rappers in the industry) had got hold of Drake and singed him to his record label Young Money, Cash Money Entertainment.
    Just one month last on the 21st of August, Lil Wayne released their first song which was called 'Man Of The Year'.

    Drake's third mixtape was called 'So Far Gone'. Since tis mixtape was released, Drake has been seen as one of the best rappers internationally.Drake released 2 songs from this album in to the charts and they both placed in the top 10 of the Billboards hot100. These songs were 'Best I Ever Had' and 'Successful'.

    'So Far Gone' also helped the careers of producers 'Boi-1da' and 'T-Minus' who Drake uses in all of his music videos which he features in. As well as this, they are signed to Drakes music label 'OVO Sound'
  • Fourth Mixtape

    Drake released his fourth mixtape which was called 'Thank Me Later'. From this album, Drake had another 2 of his singles go into the Billboards top 100 and place in the top 10, the songs were 'Find Your Love' and 'Miss Me' which fetured Lil Wayne. This mixtape meant that Drake sold the most records within the first week of releasing out of every hip-hop artist selling over 447,000.
  • Fifth Mixtape

    'Take Care' is the second studio album by Drake. This album was top of the Billboard charts selling 631,000 copies in its first week. Within 5 months of being relased, it it had sold over 2 million copies. From this album, Drake released 8 singles which all done very well in the charts.

    'Nothing Was The Same' is Drakes third studio album. Drake released 6 singles before the release of the album which yet again, topped the Billboard charts by selling es in its first week of being released.
