When Vincent Van Gogh was around 30 he moved to Paris, France to join his yougnger brother Theo in art dealing. And by living with his brother Vincent Van Gogh dropped all those dark colors and dicovered yellow, orange, blue ,green, and red from a Japenese art dealer who was selling art. And then Vincent Van Gogh no longer used dark colors. -

Vincent van Gogh painted over 30 self portraits between the years of 1886 and 1889. He did that to get better at painting, more better paintings. -
Ear is Off
After a bad argument with Gaugin, Gaugin left and said he wasn't coming back. But this time Vincent was somad that he took a razor and cut of his own ear. But later he always regreted of doing that. And Vincent Van Gogh never got better after Gaugin left him. -

When Vincent decided to be an artist he always tried his best at whatever he painted. When he started his carrer as a painter no one bough his paintings because they were all with dark and sad colors. But his first painting were all about the poor people he helped. But one day someone bought only one of his painting's and he said " Maybe I have future in this after all"... -
Stopping is Giving Up
Vincent Van Gogh stopped painting only when he was dead. Before that he never stopped paiting. But if he was sad or mad he couldn't paint but if he was happy he painted better than ever! He created this painting called Starry Night when he was in a good mood. In this painting it looks like the stars are shining really brightly! -
Brother is my best friend
Theo was the kind of man who saved even the smallest scrap of paper. Vincent Van Gogh wrote over 800 letters in his lifetime. Most of them were written to his brother and closest friend Theo. Vincent Van Gogh always kept wrighting letters to his brother Theo even after Theo died, Theo died after six months when Vincent died.
