    Christopher landed in the Americas, causing the "New World" to be found. Which cause others in Europe to see life in ther Americas as anew chance. Being able to move to the Americas became very sought after for a new beginnig. Many being for religous fredom.

    Columbin exchange

    When food, animals, plants, ideas, and diases were exchanged between the Americas and Europe.
    It caused the spread of religons and increased population on both sides. The cultures intermixed and produced new cultures.

    The Spanish put conquistadors in charge of the Natives to control their behavior.
    This caused the Spanish to be dislike by the natives and disagreements that would last for a long time.

    Natives were being replaced by Africans as slaves. This would evetually lead to the disvalue of African-Americans and tensions with the white man for the next 600 years.

    Jamestown was the first permanent colony, after seeing its success it convinced others to come to the Americas. This was the beginning of present day America.

    The Dutch settlement was the most peaceful in dealings with the Natives, which was unusual with colonists.
  • Anne Hutchinson banned

    Anne Hutchinson was banished for basically being a woman with so much knowledge and being able to challenge her superiors. This was one of the most obvious cases of disrcimination of race.
  • Pueblo Revolt

    The Pueblo conducted an uprising against the Spaniards, to fight their oppressers. This caused the Spaniards to be more aware and retreat , but then only came back tougher. This was an act of fighting for rights as human beings.

    Many accusations lead to the execution of many people. Most being false and stemming form false witness, and the seeing of the unknown. This showed how much religon played a role in that time.

    A large destructive hurrican ran through New Orleans, Lousiana leaving many people homeless. The nation responded with mass relief for people in need.
