    The first scheduled manned mission to land humans on the moon. The scheduled launch date was February 21, 1967 but a cabin fire during a launch pad test on January 27th killed all three crew members.

    Apollo 4 was was the first test flight for the Saturn V. This was the first time the S-IC first stage and S-II second stage flew.Apollo 4 flew whithout a crew this mission was kind of a "test run". A very sucessfull mission.

    This was the first Apollo mission to land humans succesfully on the moon and return them to earth. Americans Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were the first humans to walk on the moon, and they did so for about two and a half hours.
  • Apollo 12

    Apollo 12 carried the first color television camera to the lunar surface on an Apollo flight, but transmission was lost after Bean accidentally destroyed the camera by pointing it at the Sun. This mission ended on November 24th with a sucessfull splash down.

    The Apollo 13 was the seventh manned mission in the Apollo program and the third intended to land on the moon; but an oxgen tank exploded causing limited power, loss of cabin heat, shortage of potable water, and the critical need to jury-rig the carbon dioxide removal system. Despite all that went wrong the crew returned safley to earth on April 17th.

    Apollo 14 was the eighth manned mission in the US Apollo program, and the third mission to land on the Moon. It was the last of the "H missions," targeted landings with two-day stays on the Moon with two lunar EVAs, or moonwalks.

    Apollo 15 know as one of the most sucesssfull manned missions achieved. Eighteen and a half hours spend outside the spacecraft with more focus on science than on previous missions. It was also the first mission on which the Lunar Roving Vehicle was used.

    Apollo 16 was the tenth manned mission in the Apollo program, the fifth and penultimate to land on the Moon and the first to land in the lunar highlands. This mission concluded on April 27th 1972.
  • Apollo 17

    Apollo 17
    Apollo 17 was the final mission to send humans to the moon. Apollo 17 remains the most recent manned Moon landing and the most recent crewed flight beyond low Earth orbit. After this mission the space craft retired to the Skylab and Apollo–Soyuz Test Project programs
