    the center engine of the rocket cut off two minutes before it was supposed too. this did not cause any problems however and the trajectory stayed the same.

    oxogen tank No. 2 exploded thus causing oxogen tank No.1 to fail. the command moduals normal supply of electricity, light, and water were lost.

    at 10:08 mission control decided to abort the mission in light of the events that had taken place. the team was to make a free return trajectory around the moon and back to earth.

    the crew calculated an essential five minute burn to put the ship back on a free to return course

    The crew had to conserve water, food, and electricity to survive until re-entry.
  • Landing

    at 1:07 PM EST the odyssey landed in the mi pacific and the crew was picked up by a helicopter and brought to shore.

    the explosion from oxogen tank No. 2 caused two fuel tanks were leaking. This caused the crew to have to conserve electicity. this also caused the interior of the ship to drop almost below freezing temperatures.
