Anne Frank's Birth
Anne Frank was born June 12th, 1929 in Frankfurt Germany to parents Otto and Edith Frank. She had one older sister Margot. -
Hitler Comes To Power
Hitler becomes chancller of Germany and establishes the first anti-Jewish laws. The first concentration camp is opened Oranienburg outside Berlin and Dachau is also opened. The Otto Frank decides to leave Germany because of Natzi rule and head for Holland leaving his family behind in Germany. -
The Nuremburg Race Laws
Germany passes the Nuremburg Race Law which doesn't allow Jews to do much of anything. German Jews cannot have citizenship, cannot own a buiseness or have a right to education. -
The Night of Broken Glass
The Night of Broken Glass or Kristallnacht, is when German citizens burned and looted 7000 Jewish businesses, homes and synogogues. 30,000 Jews were then arrested and sent to concentration camps. Also that year the U.S. and other countries met to decide if they were going to help the Jewish refugees, but no country helped them. -
WW2
On Sep. 1 Germany invades Poland and 2 days later WW2 was declared on Germany. -
New Laws for Jews
In 1940 the Germans ordered that Jewish children could attend only Jewish schools. Then one year later, Dutch Jews are forbidden access to movie theaters or use public transport preventing Anne Frank from enjoying her favorite pastime and all Dutch Jews were forced to wear a yellow Star of David. Also in Dec. 1941, Pearl Harbor was attacked and the Japanese declared war on the U.S. -
Hiding
"Anne receives an autograph book from her father for her birthday and Anne Frank decides to use it as a diary. Anne's older sister is ordered to report for relocation to a labor camp so the family goes into hiding in Amsterdam. The Diary of Anne Frank records that she has to leave behind her cat called Moortje.The Frank family move into rooms above and behind the company's premises in a street along one of Amsterdam's canals. Some trusted employees of Otto Frank offer to help them.

They've Been Found
"Anne made her final diary entry. Their secret hiding place was stormed by German Police and all the people hiding in this annex were arrested and taken to the Gestapo headquarters where they were interrogated and held overnight. Then they were sent to a over crowded prison in Weteringschans for two nights. The End is Near
"On January 6 Anne's mother, Edith Frank dies of starvation at Auschwitz and just 21 days later The Russian Allies liberate the remaining survivors in Auschwitz, including Otto Frank. In March Margot Frank dies of typhus in Bergen-Belson and shortly after Anne follow suit. On April 30 Hitler commits suicide with his wife of two days, Eva Braun, their bodies are believed to have been cremated.
