    Andrew Jackson was born in the Waxhaws region, a region in between North and South Carolina. He recieved erratic education growing up, and joined the military at 13 years old. HIs parents later died in the Revolutionary War, and he was adopted by his uncles. Jackson then studied law to increase his education.

    During the Battle of New Orleans, the general was Andrew Jackson. In this battle, his name was finally known to the nation due to its victory in the War of 1812. He showed the perfect example of nationalism and perserverence to America

    After suffering a loss to John Q. Adams, in the election of 1828, Andrew Jackson finally got his turn and won by 140,839 votes.

    This crisis occured because of the Tariff of Abominations. It was a tariff that affected many southerners and made them angry. They believed that if they found a law unconstitutional, nullification was allowed. To resolve this, Jackson created a bill that lowered the tariff, but still allowed it.

    This was a law that allowed the U.S. to colonize west into the Indian territory. Many natives were very angered by this, since they were being pushed out of their homes that they've always lived in. An event during this act was called the Trail of Tears, where there was sadness in all natives that were being forced out of their homes.

    The Bank War was the era in Jackson's presidency where he tried to get rid of the national bank. He believed it was unconstitutional and had many opinions because of his background. The way he did it was by vetoing a bill passed by the bank. It then shut down. Unfortunately, this put the entire nation in the Panic of 1837.
