    Egyptians would mummify their dead because they believed in life after death so, they would practice mummification on pharaohs when they would die. Scholars found evidence of artificial mummification. Egyptians would also mummify a variety of animals that were dead. People mummify their pets because they care for them and love them. These are some reasons why they would mummify their dead.

    Khufu

    Khufu was the God Kings 19 to about 50 years. When pharaoh's would die, Egyptians would mummify their bodies. Khufu was one of the pharaohs. Khufu was also known as Cheops. He ruled the old kingdom and built the Great Pyramid.

There are three different types of famous temples such as, Hatshepsut's Mortuary Temple, The Ramesseum, Medinet habu, Luxor Temple, Karnak, Abu Simbel, Abydos, Kom Ombo, Edfu, Philae, and Dendera. There are different temples and statues around the temples in Egypt.

    The Great Pyramid of Giza

    The Egyptians built the pyramids on the West Bank of the Nile. There is a pyramid still standing today called the Great Pyramid at Giza. There are two pyramids that were built at Giza, Khafra and Menkaura. The sides of a pyramid is 755.75 feet ( 230 meters ).
