    Rule of this dynasty is Tang. The Shang Dynasty was the first Chinese dynasty with written records. The Shang ruled from around 1600 BC to 1046 BC. Some historians consider the Shang to be the first Chinese Dynasty. Other historians consider it to be the second dynasty, coming after the legendary Xia Dynasty.

The chopsticks most frequently used by people are made of bamboo. Chopsticks can be classified into groups based on the materials metal, bone, wood, stone, and compound chopsticks.

    Chinese writing. The Shang came up with the idea after the ocacle bones. It wasinscribed on bronze objects. The oracle bones and bronze inscriptions were the only written history from the Shang era.

    Oracle bones were invented. Oracle script is considered the oldest script in China. They believed that the natural elements had special power. It would tell about when to hunt, where to build their cities, and whether to go to war. The most common oracle bones were made from turtle shells or the shoulder blade of a cow. Then, he would press a hot needle against the back of the bone. The heat would then make the bone crack. They believed the pattern of the crack was a message or script.

    The rise and fall of the Zhou dynasty

    The Zhou dynasty was founded by King Wen of the Ji family in 1046 BCE, after the Shang dynasty came to an end. Zhou Dynasty is defined by a standardized spoken language, and lengthy time of reign. It would prove to be very influential because of the power that it gave to military leaders. It was also the beginning of China’s Iron Age. The Iron Age influenced future leaders to use military force to introduce the Mandate of Heaven.
