    The emperor was the first emperor of the Han dynasty. On October of 206 BC he and his army attacked "Xianyang", the capital city of the Qin and overthrew the Qin dynasty. The emperor died in 195 but was succeeded by his son, which still held the same name, and had the same attitudes towards Confucianism as he did.

    In the fifth century, the Chinese scholar Fan Ye credited Cai Lun with the discovery of paper in his official history of the Han dynasty. Cai Lun was the one who had the idea of making paper from bark trees, hemp waste, old rags and fish nets. Cai Lun took paper beyond being a technical invention.
