    Christopher Columbus was an explorer from Spain that landed in North America in an attempt to find India. When he saw the Native Americans he decided to sell, trade, and enslave them.

    Mercantilism is the theory that trade creates wealth and usually government penetrates this idea throughout a whole country. This was around the time of 1501 and 1800. Mercantilism helped with different business trading and selling.

Although it was also one of the main points that the Civil War started because of his beliefs and he wanted to change so much about slavery that caused the south get angry and fatigued.

    Frederick Douglass was a slave and an abolitionist. He is known for his books based on his experiences as a slave. He would lecture presidents and crowds about slaves rights and women's' rights. He died on February 20, 1895.
