  • Continental Congress

    The First Continental Congress meeting consisted of the 13 colonies. They were the most important decision makers during the American Revolution. The colonies met in Philadelphia to decide what actions to take.
  • Declaration of Independence

    At the Pennsylvania State House, the Second Continental Congress meeting adopted the Declaration of Independence. The 13 colonies wrote a letter to King George III stating their separation from Britain and their independence.
