    Lexington & Concord was where the first shots of the revolutionary war took place. This kicked off the fight between the british and the 13 colonies.

    In 1803 Thomas Jefferson made the Louisiana Purchase. This piece of land was bought from Napoleon Bonaparte for $15,000,000. This later on became settlement for new immigrants.

    The Civil war was led by President Abraham Lincoln. The union army was commanded by Ulysses S. Grant and the Confederate by Robert E. Lee. the civil war ended with the union winning and the slaves getting rights.

    During the Civil War the Confederate won most of the first battles. Towards the end the union started winning more and more battles leaving the Confederate with no army and forcing Lee to surrender to Grant at Appomattox courthouse

    5 days after the Civil war ended, Lincoln went to a play at Fords' theatre. A man by the name of John Wilkes Boothe had a plan to shoot Lincoln in the head and succeeded.
