Lexington & Concord was where the first shots of the revolutionary war took place. This kicked off the fight between the british and the 13 colonies. -

The decleration of Independence was written by Thomas Jeferson. Thomas wrote this to show our independence from Britian. John Hancock wrote his name really big so king George III would see it first. -
Louisiana Purchase
In 1803 Thomas Jefferson made the Louisiana Purchase. This piece of land was bought from Napoleon Bonaparte for $15,000,000. This later on became settlement for new immigrants. -
Trail Of Tears
The trail of tears was a sad long journey for the Indians that had been forced to go to Oklahoma. This caused cases, one going to the supreme court called worchester v. Georgia. -
Mexican American War
This war happened between the Mexicans and Americans Becauase of border dispute. Mexico wanted to claim Texas even though it was annexed to the United States. -
Civil War
The Civil war was led by President Abraham Lincoln. The union army was commanded by Ulysses S. Grant and the Confederate by Robert E. Lee. the civil war ended with the union winning and the slaves getting rights. -
Lee Surrenders
During the Civil War the Confederate won most of the first battles. Towards the end the union started winning more and more battles leaving the Confederate with no army and forcing Lee to surrender to Grant at Appomattox courthouse -
Lincolns Assassination
5 days after the Civil war ended, Lincoln went to a play at Fords' theatre. A man by the name of John Wilkes Boothe had a plan to shoot Lincoln in the head and succeeded.
