  • Complex Number Calculator

    Complex Number Calculator
The CNC was completed in early 1940. It was designed by George Stibitz and he remotely performed calculations on the CNC at a conference in New York. It was the start to digital computers
Complex number calculator has enhanced our lives in a lot of ways. One way that CNC is used and we may not realize it but it works with electricity to avoid electrocution.
  • Electric Numerical Integrator and Computer

    Electric Numerical Integrator and Computer
in 1942 John Mauchly suggested an electronic calculating machine and it was built in 1943. It was one of the first computers to run at electronic speed. It was not slowed down by any of its mechanical parts. ENIAC is still being used today in many ways, mobile devices, laptops, computers and the internet
  • Harvard Mark 1

    Harvard Mark 1
Professor Howard Aikens built Harvard 1. It made mathematical tables. It was able to operate thousands of components and used over 3000 relays at the same time. Even though this was the beginning of Harvard Mark one and there are more to come, this is the start to being able to combine different data on our electronic devices. For example, Being able to use a Macbook to make phone calls and surf the web at the same time
  • IBM SSEC

    IBM SSEC
Thomas Watson JR is one of the inventors of the Selective Sequence Electronic Calculator was designed into a computer to solve specific problems. One of its features is to handle instructions as data. This type of computer was designed to help people and not replace people.
  • Magnetic Drum Digital Differential Analyzer

    Magnetic Drum Digital Differential Analyzer
It is a digital computer that was used for solving differential equations. Floyd Steele was the inventor of the analyzer and it was developed by at Northrop Aircraft Corporation. It was primarily used for the military during this time.
