    The French and Indian War was the North American conflict in a larger imperial war between Great Britain and France. The French and Indian War began in 1754 and ended with the Treaty of Paris in 1763 disputes over frontier policy and paying the war’s expenses led to colonial discontent which then led to war. I picked this event because it is an important part of history .

    parade was held not in Ireland but in New York City in 1762 because of the dramatic increase of Irish immigrants. I chose this event because I thought it was interesting that the first St Patrick's day wasn’t held in Ireland.

    American Revolution begins in Lexington, Massachusetts between the thirteen colonies and Great Britain in 1775 – 1783 when America wanted its freedom from great Britain . I chose this event because it was the war that freed America from Great Britain.

    1st US commercial Bank of North America, opened in Philadelphia in 1782 by the Confederation Congress to the general public. One reason they built the bank so they could have a standard currency. I chose this event because it was a big starting point in America

    In 1785 Benjamin Franklin Invents Bifocals in Paris. his invention of the bifocal eyeglass—forever enabling librarians and old folks to see both close-up and far away. I chose this event because it is cool that he basically came up with the first glasses ever.

    The Women's March on Versailles started in 1789 when women in the marketplaces of Paris where rioting over the high price and scarcity of bread. I chose this event because it is a good example of how the people fought for what’s right.

    in 1795 the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill was the first public university in the country it was founded by a royal character and was built for education . I chose this event because it is cool to see what the first university was like.

    In 1799 Eliakim Spooner, of Vermont, received a patent for a seeding Machine for Planting Corn and Beans. I chose this event because I think the invention is very interesting.

    In 1800 a petition to congress written by Absalom Jones and other Philadelphia blacks petition Congress against the slave trade and violence towards blacks. I chose this event because it is the first look at the African Americans fighting for there freedom.

    In 1805 US Marines attack shores of Tripoli under the command of Lieutenant William Eaton, because pirates from the Barbary States seizing American merchant ships and holding the crews for ransom, demanding the U.S. pay tribute to the Barbary rulers. The reason I picked this event is because I thought it was an interesting battle.

    In 1809 the first US geology map was published by William Maclure it was one of the best map of America at bits time. I chose this event because I really like to look at maps so I thought it was pretty cool.

    War of 1812 begins as US declares war against Britain because Britain refused to stop seizing American ships that traded with France. I chose this event because it is one of the most important wars america has ever fought.

    In 1822 Congress combines East & West Florida into Florida Territory so they could make into one state. I chose this event because I never knew that flora had been split into two parts before.

    In 1838 the First public demonstration of telegraph message sent using dots & dashes at Speedwell Ironworks, Morristown, New Jersey by Samuel Morse and Alfred Vail I chose this event because I thought it was cool how they showed every how it worked.

    In 1840 the
    American naval expedition under Charles Wilkes is first to identify Antarctica as a new continent and discovered new geological, botanical, zoological, anthropological information. I picked this event because i thought it was cool how he discovers all of that new information.

    In 1844 a Fire destroyed the US mint at Charlotte, North Carolina which ended up hurting the economy dramatically. I chose this event because it was interesting how much people depended on that mint like the miners.
  • The first Pencil with attached eraser was patented.

    In 1854 the first Pencil with attached eraser was patended by Hyman L Lipman of Philadelphia I chose this event because I never knew how old the pencil with an eraser was and it was interesting how he made it.
  • Construction on the Brooklyn Bridge begins.

    Construction on the Brooklyn Bridge begins.
    In 1870, workers began construction on the Brooklyn Bridge. The bridge, designed by engineer John Augustus Roebling and was made to connect Manhattan to Brooklyn, New York. I picked this event because I never knew that that bridge was so old.

    In 1875 the US Congress passes Civil Rights Act in response to civil rights violations to African Americans to protect all citizens in their civil and legal rights. I chose this event because it was one of the most important acts that congress has ever passed.

    in 1877, Rutherford B. Hayes is sworn in as the 19th president of the United States in the Red Room of the White House.i chose this event because it was the day our 19th president was sworn in to office.
