The British settlers and convicts reason for coming to Australia
In 1788 the first fleet arrived. The reason for this is because in Britain it was getting over crowed and people weren't being able to get and jobs which this meant that people started to steel from shops because they couldn't pay for any food or supplies. It even got so bad that the parents of children forced them to go out and start to steel. -

In 1788 the British people came to Australia so the could spread their land so that the French wouldn't take over. -
The capture of Bennelong
Bennelong was captured by Governor Arthur Phillip and was forced to learn English so he would be used to be a mediator.
