Boston Buins Jeremy Jacobs offered $295,000 a year for 5 years with Orr also to receive, on June 1st 1980, either a $925,000 payment or an 18.5% ownership in the Bruins Club. Chicago offered $3 million over 6 years, $1.5 million of which was guaranteed even if Orr could not play out his contract. Because Orr was unable to play, he had volunteered to take a cut in his salary. After his retirement, he became a player agent, with partners Paul Krepelka and Rick Curran.The Orr Hockey Group was incorporated in 2002 and represents 33 active NHL players (fourth most of any agency) that includes Jason Spezza, Eric Staal, Cam Ward, and Jeff Carter. Orr also spends his time tending to a wide variety of business investments, charitable endeavor s and being a grand-father, maybe in the futur he will do more incredible things.
