    Was the first tax on a product by the newly formed federal government. They taxed the people to help pay for the revolutionary war, let’s just say the people did not like the tax. People would not buy the whiskey because corn would have cost less and they could make whiskey by themself.

    After the tax on whiskey the settlers rebelled against the new government. This gave the government the opportunity to establish authority and boundaries on the state and its people.this rebellion was later named the whiskey rebellion.

    The battle of lake occurred of the coast Ohio’s coast. Nine U.S vessels defeated and cloture 6 British ships. This war was a part of the war of 1812, they were fraught for the same reasons.

    This treaty would end the war of 1812-1814. Both Britain and the U.S signed this peace treaty in Ghent which is in the Netherlands.

    The U.S won one of it’s greatest wins at New Orleans. The U.S defeated British after they tried to gain a critical port this elevated general Andrew Jackson to fame.
