  • White Australian Policy

    The White Australian policy or ( immigration restriction act) is a policy that aims to keep Australia a predominantly "white" country and not filled with other immigrants of different ethnicities.
  • Assimilation policy

    The Assimilation policy is the policy which tried to get rid of Aboriginals in society. This involved stealing the children from their families.
  • Integration policy is introduced

    This policy allows aboriginals to have more control over their life and the society that they live in.
  • The commonwealth referendum passes through parliament

    This constitution ends the discrimination against the Aboriginal and allows their votes to counted at the national census.
  • The Aboriginal flag was flown for the first time

    The aboriginal flag was flown in Adelaide on the National Aborigines day. The flag itself was designed by Harold Joseph Thomas
  • Self Determination policy

    The Whitlam government creates the Self Dtermination policy to give more power to Aboriginals.
